Rock of Life Church

Tugela Ferry is the administrative capital of the Msinga district in KwaZulu-Natal. It is a rural village situated on the northern bank of the Tugela River. It serves a population estimated at 1 million.

The local Church of Scotland Hospital has 300 beds, but is hard pressed to deal with the growing HIV/AIDS pandemic as well as the impact of resistant strains of TB, both of which have a profound impact on the community.

Rock of Life Church started in 1964 as a very small local church as a result of an outreach of what later became KwaSizabantu Mission. The congregation grew steadily and in 2000 became an independent church.
It has since founded numerous branches throughout Msinga as well as further afield in KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga provinces.
