Besides regular weekly worship and prayer meetings, the church has a tent ministry with a team of evangelists and trainers who visit the different areas served by its branches.

Rock of Life Church runs a Christian School (Creche to Grade 12) at its base in Tugela Ferry, as well as a Bible College to provide training to its lay ministers.

Spiritual workers from the church regularly minister in local prisons and schools.

In a community deeply impacted by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, the church plays and active role in meeting the needs of affected and infected individuals and families. Patients in the local hospital and hospice are visited regularly by full-time voluntary workers from the church. Their support extends to family members of patients in order to address the needs of these families while the patient is in hospital and, especially, after the death of a patient. The church regularly assists two to three families per week in conducting home funerals.

The church runs and Orphan Care programme in Tugela Ferry, Mtunzini, Dannhauser, Muden and Estcourt areas in KZN. At present more that 500 destitute orphans and vulnerable children receive monthly food parcels, school fees, school uiforms and other clothing as needed. Food parcels are also provided to the care-givers of these children who have no regular income.

A cluster foster care home provides total care for children whose physical needs are beyond the means of their immediate family, or who have no possibility to be placed out into the community.
A centre for step-down health care to children with HIV/AIDS is scheduled to open by September 2007.

In an effort to raise the funds needed for the running of its programmes, the church has undertaken a number of small business enterprises, eg. A bakery, a restaurant/take-away and a small shopping complex in the Tugela Ferry village.
